When a neighbor came by his metal shop with a sheet of titanium and a request for a garden planter, Horie was quick to recognize titanium's unusual and beautiful, light-reflective capabilities. From thereon  Mr. Horie, and his team of dedicated craftsmen set out on an adventure that spanned over three years to develop and perfect the precision surface engineering required to naturally, consistently, and precisely create these vibrant color gradation with the reflection of light itself.
